VOIDS
For JEM, India Mahdavi adapts her architectural language to an exclusive jewellery collection. ‘For Voids, I adopted the perforated sheet metal, a rough and graphic material, from the building to offer an architecture on the scale of the body, inscribed in an exchange between voids and masses.’ A few arrangements, showing the same range of patterns in altering densities, were imagined for the whole ring, cuff or bracelet collections. Each element is self-sufficient but it’s in its accumulation that Voids tunes into a simple and modern vibration.
