To be 20 in 2020 for India Mahdavi means opening a new space, halfway between a window and a gallery: it is about free expression.

«Each location has its own character, its singularity.
Today my strength is my independence. That’s what I’ve built. I created my studio in 2020 and I conceive, produce, sell and promote my furniture and ‘petits objets’.
Polyglot and polychrome, I live for color, surrounded by color. Color is my language, like an alphabet of light. It is the expression of happiness, of the ‘joie de vivre’ I aim to convey.»

Located at the end of the rue Las Cases where India Mahdavi already has her studio, showroom and ‘petits objets’ boutique, the first exhibition at 29 rue de Bellechasse showcases several collaborations in a unique way. Each piece is like a piece of art, the result from a close collaboration with artisans by mixing craftsmanship with modernity, imagination with materials, function with joy. Unique pieces, limited editions, cartes blanches, invitations, exclusive collaborations... the programme in the future will evolve with the space, crossing lines and perspectives ‒ in a tribute to craftsmanship.
