AFTERGLOW
India Mahdavi presents Afterglow, an exhibition by PIN–UP HOME featuring a collection of resin candleholders by Dutch industrial designer and furniture maker Vincent de Rijk.
Designed by Vincent de Rijk for PIN–UP HOME, the POD candleholders are inspired by the view from de Rijk’s studio overlooking the vibrant port of Rotterdam. For Afterglow, the POD pieces come together in an evocative tablescape, their circular resin forms anchoring the scene with bursts of joyful color: cloud white, dawn pink, mist green, sun yellow, and wave blue. Echoing the movement of ships gliding through water, the PIN–UP HOME installation and the POD candleholders capture the glow of gathering, the rhythm of waves, and the lightness that lingers after a party with friends.

He also expands into furniture and object making, merging art, functionality, and industry with minimalist precision and an ongoing exploration of materiality. The POD candleholder is his first design for PIN–UP HOME.
