« I chose Paris because Paris chose me, and because it is one of the last capitals in the world where culture is fully integrated into the city, where one can still wander from the Left Bank to the Right Bank, and where the present has not destroyed the past, the history. »

Architect, designer, and scenographer, India Mahdavi lives and works in Paris. Her studio, founded in 2000, stands out for the diversity of its international projects, which range from architecture to interior design, scenography, and furniture and object design, demonstrating a true interdisciplinarity. Over the past twenty years, India Mahdavi has transformed Rue Las Cases into a true ecosystem—first establishing her studio, then a furniture showroom, and later a shop dedicated to small objects. In 2020, she opened the Project Room on Rue de Bellechasse, a space for free expression where various sets, creative collaborations, and events take place. Known for her unique environments, each celebrating a cosmopolitan way of life in its own way, India Mahdavi expresses a modern vision of comfort and elegance—often with a touch of humor. A polyglot and a lover of color, India Mahdavi has become a reference in the design world, developing a distinctive vocabulary through each of her creations.
